Most shoppers compare it to two other ideas: a book-fold phone like iPhone Duo, or Huawei’s own wide non-folding Pura X View. Those answers are about height, thickness, and how wide the open canvas needs to be—not about who has more marketing inches.

XT 2, Duo, or Pura X View?

Going by size and how you carry a phone:

  • Lean Mate XT 2 if: You want a ~10.2″ inner sheet when open, still at phone height (157.2 mm), and you can live with a 12.3 mm closed stack and 299 g. Tri-fold width is the product—open Duo stays closer to a large phone span.
  • Lean iPhone Duo if: You want a shorter closed phone (117.8 mm tall) that sits lower in a pocket, a simpler book-fold open width (~165 mm), and less mass (254 g). You give up the near-tablet open span of XT 2.

Folded: pockets, bags, and mass

Folded height 157.2 mm sits near a tall flagship, so shallow front jeans pockets may still show the top edge. The harder constraints are thickness (12.3 mm) and weight (299 g)—more than Duo closed (11.3 mm / 254 g) and far denser than Pura X View (6.68 mm / 201 g).

If you live in skinny jeans, try a jacket or coat pocket first. If you mostly use a sling or briefcase, closed thickness matters less than open desk width.

Open: desk, lap, and tablet habits

Open width jumps to 219.2 mm while height stays 157.2 mm—short and very wide, not Max-tall. Duo open tops out around 164.6 mm wide: still a big phone span, not a mini tablet sheet.

If your goal is reading PDFs or drafting notes like a small tablet, XT 2’s open row is the point. If you mainly want a bigger phone screen that still folds into a shorter closed body, Duo’s book-fold shape is usually enough—and lighter on the walk home.
